Project Schedule: Completed November 2007

Improvements to the 8th Street Station to include the installation of an elevator between the street and the north concourse. Installation of a new bus stop shelter and headhouse at street level. Platform rehabilitation and repairs including ADA compliant ramps, tactile tile edging and tile flooring. Stairway rehabilitation, fare area modification, slip resistant floor coating at South concourse, EB & WB fare line area, raised platform area and pedestrian crossover. Passenger amenities such as new platform furniture and directional signage, fire alarm system, fire suppression system in elevator machine room, Audio Visual Public Address (AVPA) system and emergency and normal lighting.
